So my 5 1/2 year old daughter was saying her bed-time prayers the other night. She was very specific and insightful in such a silly & child-like way... I had to hide my chuckle.
In light of the recent disaster (earthquake and tsunami) in Japan...they are a part of our prayers every night, but this night she even prayed for the whales & sharks...
"Because Lord, all those house and cars that the water washed away... They could hurt them."
She continued with her usual list of people & things she prays for & then got excited...
"& Yes Lord... Thank you for my elbows & my knees... because Lord, without them, I wouldn't able to bend my arms or my legs."
She wasn't laughing... I was!! I held it together but I let out a good laugh after she said "Amen."
